About the Program
Designed in partnership with leading minds in obesity treatment and metabolic health, Calibrate is a holistic approach to weight loss that combines clinician-prescribed GLP-1 medication and 1:1 video coaching with lifestyle changes.
The goal is to make gradual, science-backed changes to your food, exercise, sleep, and emotional health habits that ladder up to real results you can maintain—even after medication. And our members lose 17% weight loss, on average achieved over two years.

We’ll never restrict your diet. Instead, we’ll help you rebalance it. Calibrate's approach to food is flexible and works with nearly all dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, kosher, vegan, and lactose-free (to name just a few). We strive to help you establish a sustainable and flexible approach to nutrition that focuses on minimizing fast-digesting carbs and making healthier choices that include protein, fiber, and healthy fats—without restricting or counting calories.
Importantly, the Calibrate food program is not a diet: we do not use meal replacements or offer meal plans. We don’t try to restrict your eating: instead, we help you rebalance it. For breakfast, you might have avocado and eggs or berries and yogurt. For lunch or dinner, you could prepare a grain bowl with roasted veggies and chicken, or a slow-cooker meal. You can see Calibrate Food Expert Stephanie Middleberg, RD’s favorite recipes for inspiration here.
The food program at Calibrate creates a healthy, sustainable way of eating that promotes weight loss and sets you up for long-term health. Through our nutrition curriculum classes, the support of your accountability coaching team, and the guidance of your medical team, you’ll learn how to build healthier food habits into the life you’re already living.

We designed Calibrate to work for people with broad health histories and believe that improving your underlying metabolic health will lead to significant improvements to your overall health, too. As part of your care, we will monitor your metabolic health, and we can coordinate your treatment plan with your primary care provider and/or specialists.
While we are not a replacement for those providers and their treatment plans, the metabolic health changes you make through Calibrate often have far-reaching positive effects on other conditions. Calibrate commonly supports members who have the following conditions.
However, please note that Calibrate eligibility may vary by employer, so it's important to visit your employer specific page for exact requirements:
- Anxiety
- Arthritis
- Asthma
- Depression
- Diabetes

Calibrate Providers
All of our clinicians are US-licensed and board-certified. When you’re matched with your Calibrate doctor, you’ll be able to see their credentials and background. Calibrate also has a Clinical Advisory Board that includes medical experts and key opinion leaders in the fields of metabolic health, endocrinology, psychology, and nutrition.
While we don’t focus on treating conditions beyond metabolic health, we do provide documentation for your primary care provider and outside specialists to ensure your health is addressed holistically—and you're set up for success to take control of your weight and metabolic health.
During your video appointment, your Calibrate clinician will thoroughly review your medical and weight history, your metabolic labs, medications, and other factors that may be impacting your weight and metabolic health. Your Calibrate clinician may ask for additional information that’s needed to ensure Calibrate is medically appropriate and safe for you.
No, we are not a replacement for your primary care provider or any other specialists currently involved in your medical care. As part of your time with us, we will monitor your metabolic health and can coordinate your treatment plan with your primary care provider and/or specialists. However, it is very important that you continue to be treated for existing medical conditions outside of Calibrate.
Calibrate accountability coaches come from a number of different backgrounds—including public health, psychology, education, and nutrition—and therefore have a number of different certifications and qualifications. Regardless of an accountability coach’s prior experience, all coaches complete a rigorous training program in order to receive a Calibrate Coaching Certification prior to being able to meet with any of our members.
Members frequently share positive feedback about the impact that their accountability coach has had on their progress through their biweekly coaching sessions. We’d encourage you to check out our Google Reviews and member testimonials to see this for yourself.
