Once you blend it to a smooth, creamy treat with cacao powder and a few other wholesome and flavorful ingredients, you won’t believe the result is actually delicious—but it is. Indulge and enjoy, knowing that you’re nourishing and treating yourself at the same time.

The best part of this recipe, besides how satisfying and healthy it is, is how fast you can make it. This is especially great because it’s best eaten the same day it’s made, though any leftovers can be refrigerated in a container with a tight-fitting lid for up to a day. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • ¼ cup (24 grams) unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla-flavored protein powder (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Combine the cottage cheese, cacao powder, protein powder if using, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon water In a food processor or high-speed blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, about 1 minute, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 1 day.
