Effective January 31, 2025, due to recent adjustments in your benefit programs, you will no longer have access to the Calibrate program including your medication. This means that after 1/31/2025, we will not be able to provide you with additional GLP-1 medication and any refills on file will be cancelled.
We understand how important GLP-1 medications are for your health and well-being, and we want to help you navigate this transition. Here are some important steps you should take:
- Follow Up with Your Primary Care Physician: Please schedule an appointment with your primary care physician as soon as possible. They can discuss alternative treatment options and help you create a plan to manage your condition effectively.
- Managing a Lapse in Medication: If you anticipate a gap in your medication due to this change, please discuss this with your physician as soon as possible. They may recommend:
- Temporary alternatives or adjustments to your current medication regimen, such as tapering (gradually decreasing) your dose.
- NOTE: Please know that it is also medically safe to stop the medication abruptly without a taper when it is used for treatment of weight. However, abrupt stops can increase hunger and the risk of weight regain so it is best to taper when possible.
- Strategies for managing your health during any potential lapse.
- Possible assistance programs that may help you access needed medications.
We encourage you to keep an open line of communication with your Calibrate healthcare team during this transition period. They are here to support you through this transition and answer any questions you may have.
Your health is our top priority, and we are committed to providing you with the necessary resources during this challenging time. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need further assistance or have any concerns.
