Frequently Asked Questions
About the Program
Designed in partnership with leading minds in obesity treatment and metabolic health, Calibrate is a holistic approach to weight loss that combines doctor-prescribed GLP-1 medication and 1:1 video coaching with lifestyle changes. The goal is to make gradual, science-backed changes to your food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health habits that ladder up to real results you can maintain—even after medication. And our members lose 18% weight loss, on average sustained over two years.
No, you do not have to pay for Calibrate. Both the cost of the Metabolic Reset program (valued at over $2000) and the cost of your doctor-prescribed medication are fully covered by your employer. Importantly, if you have a deductible, it does not have to be met in order for your doctor-prescribed medication to be covered.
Thousands of Calibrate members have already achieved real results—on and off the scale.
- 18% weight loss on average
- 78% of members with pre-diabetes or diabetes were able to achieve normal HBA1C levels at 12 months
We’ll never restrict your diet. Instead, we’ll help you rebalance it. Calibrate's approach to food is flexible and works with nearly all dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, kosher, vegan, and lactose-free (to name just a few). We strive to help you establish a sustainable and flexible approach to nutrition that focuses on minimizing fast-digesting carbs and making healthier choices that include protein, fiber, and healthy fats—without restricting or counting calories.
Importantly, the Calibrate food program is not a diet: we do not use meal replacements or offer meal plans. We don’t try to restrict your eating: instead, we help you rebalance it. For breakfast, you might have avocado and eggs or berries and yogurt. For lunch or dinner, you could prepare a grain bowl with roasted veggies and chicken, or a slow-cooker meal. You can see Calibrate Food Expert Stephanie Middleberg, RD’s favorite recipes for inspiration here.
The food program at Calibrate creates a healthy, sustainable way of eating that promotes weight loss and sets you up for long-term health. Through our nutrition curriculum classes, the support of your accountability coaching team, and the guidance of your medical team, you’ll learn how to build healthier food habits into the life you’re already living.

Two-Year Metabolic Reset
A whole-body reset that sets up every part of your system to have a healthy response to food, exercise, sleep and emotional triggers—through clinician-prescribed medication and lifestyle changes. When you’re in control of your metabolic system (not just your metabolism!), you can take control of your weight.
We don’t compromise on what works. The Two-Year Metabolic Reset was thoughtfully designed as a two-year program, because it increases the likelihood of long-term, sustained weight loss. Our goal is to help members lose at least 10% of their body weight, establish new food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health habits (we call these the Four Pillars of Metabolic Health), and sustain them. Through a combination of doctor-prescribed medication, 1:1 personalized coaching, and a science-backed lifestyle program, we’re confident members will do exactly that—and achieve at least 10% sustained weight loss on the Two-Year Metabolic Reset.
Research shows, combining FDA-approved metabolic medication with personalized coaching drives 10% weight loss, on average. Many Calibrate members lose more than 10%—in fact, our Results Report shows Calibrate members lose 15% of their body weight, on average—but at least 10% is the goal.
This 10% weight loss leads to clinically significant improvements across all metabolic and inflammatory markers.
Our goal is to help you establish a flexible and sustainable approach to nutrition that minimizes fast-digesting carbs and incorporates more protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Have a dietary restriction? Our approach works for gluten-free, kosher, vegan, and lactose-free diets (to name a few).
We’ll never ask you to count your calories. We’re here to help make healthy eating more intuitive, flexible, and sustainable for you. Simple, one-click tracking in the Calibrate app helps you make—and track your—progress without restricting your choices.
Importantly, we don’t recommend meal replacements nor offer meal plans. Your dedicated coach will be your guide in and out of the kitchen. They’ll help you find (and master!) recipes that seamlessly fit into your lifestyle and support your metabolic health.
Weight loss is a deeply personal journey—one that deserves an equally personal approach. That’s where our 1:1 lifestyle coaching comes into play. Our holistic approach is personalized to you, so the goals you and your coach set—and track in the app—will be unique to your life. But, here’s an example of what your sleep goals may look like:
- Establish a bedtime window that fits your life, improves your sleep quality, and minimizes cardiometabolic health factors—and work towards it.
- Get 7-9 hours of restful sleep a night.
You and your Calibrate accountability coach will break down these goals into smaller, actionable steps in your 1:1 sessions. Your coach will also help set and monitor goals throughout the year as you track your daily progress in the Calibrate app.

For food-related questions, please revisit your Calibrate Food Triangles or your Shopping List. In the Calibrate app, there are also many helpful food resources in the “Documents” folder. These resources can help address members’ most common food-related questions.
Ultimately, the goal is to establish a sustainable and flexible approach to nutrition that focuses on minimizing fast-digesting carbs, to help members make healthier food choices that include protein, fiber, and healthy fats—without restricting or counting calories. If you’re unable to find the answers you need in these resources, feel free to ask food-related questions to your coach in your upcoming biweekly coaching session.
The Calibrate team is here to support you and make sure your program works with your life. That’s why we’ve designed Calibrate with modular classes, flexible goals, and focus weeks that double down on topics that are particularly relevant for you.
However, if one of the program pieces is not working, it jeopardizes your long-term success. If you fall behind on any of the program elements, we’ll work with you to help get you back on track. We want you to be engaged and to succeed, so you’ll get reminders if you're falling behind.
If, over time and after these reminders, you are not meeting the expectations for your program, we may put your program on pause for up to three months. Taking a pause can help members regroup and get back on track. When you’re ready to re-engage, we’ll work with you to ensure a smooth transition back to Calibrate.
You can read more about what triggers a pause in your Calibrate Commitment.
Calibrate is designed to help improve your metabolic health and achieve at least 10% weight loss. You can expect to achieve long-term, sustainable results provided you fully honor the Calibrate Commitment. This means taking medication as directed, following through with ongoing Medical Team care, tracking daily metrics and biweekly goals, and attending regular coaching sessions.
If you fail to follow the Commitment for a period of 6+ weeks, you will lose your Calibrate membership. You can read more about what triggers disenrollment the Enterprise Disenrollment Criteria and in your Calibrate Commitment.
You can also terminate your membership at any time by contacting us at membership@joincalibrate.com with the subject line “Cancellation Request”.
Labs
Prior to your Calibrate doctor visit, our Medical Team requires you to complete lab work to better inform your medical care.
The lab requirements are as follows:
Within 3 months prior to your doctor visit:
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Within 6 months prior to your doctor visit:
- Hemoglobin A1c
- Lipid Panel
- Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
In addition, we recommend a fasting insulin test and a C-Reactive Protein (CRP) test (also within 6 months prior to your doctor visit), but this isn’t required.
If Calibrate generates the lab order, the required labs as well as a fasting insulin test and a C-Reactive Protein (CRP) test will automatically be included in your lab request.
If you plan to upload your own labs, be sure they meet the full list of requirements above. If you are missing any required labs from this list, you will need to visit a lab to have them drawn before you can schedule your appointment with a Calibrate doctor. Please do not visit a lab without getting a lab order from Calibrate. You can request a new lab order by messaging us via the Support Center in your Calibrate app.
To ensure proper medical identification, please make sure your labs contain your full name and date of birth. Also, make sure the date of collection is on the pages of your results so we can validate when you got the labs done.
Our Medical Team prescribes medication based on up-to-date health information to protect your health and safety.
Yes, an eight hour fast is required for your labs. Water, plain tea, and black coffee are acceptable.
We’d be happy to send your lab order to a different location. Please send us the name, address, telephone, and fax number of the facility you would like to use either via the Support Channel in the app or via email at labs@joincalibrate.com. We’ll send you a new order for your preferred location.
However, please be aware that processing time to receive your results will take longer with an alternative lab than with Quest or Labcorp, and we need your results at least five business days prior to your scheduled appointment with your Calibrate doctor.
You should receive a lab order via the Support Center within 48 hours of requesting labs in the Calibrate app. If we do not receive the necessary insurance information during account set up, we’ll contact you via the Support Center to obtain the necessary insurance details before ordering your labs.
It can take up to five days for the Calibrate Team to receive lab results from Labcorp, Quest, or a local lab. As soon as we receive your results, the Calibrate Medical Team will review them, which typically takes two to three days. Only once the Calibrate Medical Team reviews will you be eligible to schedule your Calibrate doctor appointment. We will notify you via app notification when this review is complete and you are able to schedule your appointment.
In the meantime, you can view your lab results by logging into your Calibrate app:
- Tap the Profile tab
- Select Health Data
- Select Labs
- View your available lab results by date received
You can email your lab results to labs@joincalibrate.com, or upload them via the Calibrate web portal.
Here’s how:
- Log in to your Calibrate account by going to app.joincalibrate.com via your web browser.
- Select “Documents” from the left-hand navigation bar
- Select “Upload Document”
- Tap “Select File From Computer” (please ensure the file designation “.PDF” is included in the file title so that the file uploads properly)
- Select “Upload”
You’ll see a green banner that confirms “Document has been added”, but please check that the file appears in the documents list on your screen.
Calibrate Providers
All of our physicians are US-licensed and board-certified. When you select your Calibrate clinician, you’ll be able to see their credentials and background. Calibrate also has a Clinical Advisory Board that includes medical experts and key opinion leaders in the fields of metabolic health, endocrinology, psychology, and nutrition.
Yes, our program is entirely virtual, using telemedicine to treat you safely and effectively. Your 1:1 doctor visit and coaching sessions will take place over Zoom video calls.
While we don’t focus on treating conditions beyond metabolic health, we do provide documentation for your primary care provider and outside specialists to ensure your health is addressed holistically—and you're set up for success to take control of your weight and metabolic health.
During your video appointment, your Calibrate doctor will thoroughly review your medical and weight history, your metabolic labs, medications, and other factors that may be impacting your weight and metabolic health. Your Calibrate doctor may ask for additional information that’s needed to ensure Calibrate is medically appropriate and safe for you.
No, we are not a replacement for your primary care provider or any other specialists currently involved in your medical care. As part of your two years with us, we will monitor your metabolic health and can coordinate your treatment plan with your primary care provider and/or specialists. However, it is very important that you continue to be treated for existing medical conditions outside of Calibrate.
Calibrate accountability coaches come from a number of different backgrounds—including public health, psychology, education, and nutrition—and therefore have a number of different certifications and qualifications. Regardless of an accountability coach’s prior experience, all coaches complete a rigorous training program in order to receive a Calibrate Coaching Certification prior to being able to meet with any of our members.
Members frequently share positive feedback about the impact that their accountability coach has had on their progress through their biweekly coaching sessions. We’d encourage you to check out our Google Reviews and member testimonials to see this for yourself.
Doctor Visit
Your 1:1 video clinical visit will last 30 minutes. Together, you’ll discuss your health history, lab results, and learn more about the GLP-1 medications that are clinically appropriate for you and covered by your insurance. You can read more about what to expect in your appointment on the Calibrate blog.
For your 30-minute, 1:1 video visit with your Calibrate doctor, you must:
- Complete all your required labs five business days before your appointment
- Physically be in the primary state of residence you selected when you signed up for Calibrate
- Be in a quiet and private place, without distractions (no driving, please!), in order to discuss personal details about your health
- Have the Zoom app downloaded on your desktop or mobile device and be logged into your personal Zoom account (You can download it for your desktop computer here, for Android phone here, or for iPhone here.)
If you’re unable to meet any of these requirements, you must reschedule your video visit. Log into your Calibrate app, tap the Visits tab, and select your doctor visit to reschedule. Please know that if you request to change or cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, you may not be able to reschedule for up to two weeks, which will delay the start of your program accordingly. You will also be unable to schedule your first coaching session until you attend your first doctor visit.
If you’ve changed your state of residence for 30 consecutive days or more, please also let us know via the Support Center so we can update your information. We may need to reschedule your doctor appointment with another provider in your new state.
During your appointment, you’ll discuss your health history, lab results, and learn more about the GLP-1 medications that are clinically appropriate for you and covered by your insurance. Your Calibrate doctor will also discuss how GLP-1 medications are most effective when you have the support of your Calibrate coach, Medical Team, and Calibrate Community. Your Medical Team will work with you to adjust medication as needed, in order to find the right tapering timeline. The lifestyle tweaks you’ll make, and the tools you’ll learn from Calibrate, are the key to sustaining your success long-term.
You can expect your first clinician visit to take place 2-3 weeks after you sign up for Calibrate. This gives you ample time to complete your first few lessons in the Calibrate curriculum, meet with your coach, complete your comprehensive health intake and get your labs done. Your Calibrate clinician will review your lab results and health history during your scheduled appointment.
You'll meet with a Calibrate clinician for a 1:1 clinical visit when you start your Metabolic Reset and again towards the end of your first year. You’ll also fill out written Medical Check-Ins, managed digitally, at set points throughout your Metabolic Reset.
If you have any questions related to your clinician-prescribed medication, you are welcome to use your Calibrate app to message the Medical Team or to request a call.

You’ll be prompted with reminders for your Medical check-ins on the home screen of the Calibrate app. It’s important to complete each check-in in a timely manner, in order to progress to the next check-in at the appropriate time intervals.
Your Medical Team will continue to monitor your progress and work with you to determine when to make changes to your medication plan to optimize your treatment. You can request a follow up call to review your progress after the Medical Team has reviewed your Medical check-in responses. Just send a message to your Medical Team via the Medical Channel in the Calibrate app.
If you need to reach the Medical Team regarding any symptoms, issues, or general medical questions, you can send a message via the Medical Channel in the Calibrate app. The Medical Team typically responds within one to two business days, Monday through Friday.
Calibrate is not intended for emergency or urgent medical care. Call 911 immediately in the case of a medical emergency. If you are not sure if it is a medical emergency, or you need immediate attention, please contact your primary care provider or other managing specialists for urgent attention.
Coaching Session
No, you do not need to be on your GLP-1 medication to begin your coaching sessions.
We understand you may be eager to start your GLP-1 medication, but we want to underscore that medication is only part of your Two-Year Metabolic Reset. The combination of GLP-1 medication and the habit changes you’ll make to your food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health routines will fundamentally change your physiology and help to sustain your results beyond your Two-Year Metabolic Reset. That’s why it’s important for you to begin your coaching sessions right away.
Together with your accountability coach, you’ll begin to make the habit changes that go hand-in-hand with medication to achieve sustained weight loss and metabolic health. 1:1 coaching is a critical component of your Two-Year Metabolic Reset. In fact, 89% of Calibrate members agree their Calibrate coach helped them implement goals to achieve greater results than medication alone.
The Zoom link for your coaching session can be found in the Calibrate app. Click into the upcoming appointment on your home screen or in your “Calendar” via the bottom navigation bar up to 30 minutes before your session starts. Alternatively, you’ll also receive an appointment reminder email with your session time and Zoom link two days before your scheduled appointment.
Please make sure you have the Zoom app downloaded. You can download it for a desktop computer here, an Android phone here, and an iPhone here.
To reschedule your initial 15-minute coaching session, log into your Calibrate app and tap the Visits tab. Select the appointment you’d like to reschedule, and select the new day and time that works for you.
To reschedule a 15-minute coaching session, log into your Calibrate app and tap the Appointments tab. Select the appointment you’d like to reschedule, and select the new day and time that works for you.
It is our priority to make sure you feel supported by your Calibrate coach. If at any point during your program you feel as though you would benefit from a new coach, please let us know via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app.
If your upcoming coaching session is with a different coach, it is likely that your usual coach is out of office unexpectedly. You will typically receive communications via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app regarding any changes to your upcoming sessions, or your coach will let you know of any upcoming changes during a session. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know by messaging us via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app.
We encourage you to meet with your coach via Zoom, and not a phone call. You’ll get the best experience and better outcomes when biweekly coaching sessions are conducted over a Zoom video call. If you need to reschedule your biweekly coaching session for a time when you’re available via Zoom, you can access the reschedule link for your upcoming (within the next 14 days) coaching session directly in the Calibrate app. Go into the “Calendar” tab, find the session you want to update, and click the new “Reschedule” button.
However, we understand life happens, and you may need to conduct a session over the phone every once in a while. If you anticipate you’ll need to meet over the phone, please let your coach know by adding a note in the Coach Agenda for your upcoming session. In the Calibrate app, go to the “Calendar” tab, select your upcoming biweekly coaching session, and click “Add to Agenda” to leave a comment for your coach.
Medication
GLP-1 medication is a key component of Calibrate’s Two-Year Metabolic Reset. Our doctors prescribe a variety of GLP-1s, including semaglutide, liraglutide, and dulaglutide. These GLP-1s are often referred to by their brand name, so you may have heard of these FDA-approved medications as Wegovy™, Ozempic®, or Saxenda®, to name a few.
GLP-1s mimic the effect of GLP-1 hormones naturally produced in the gut. These hormones send signals that affect metabolic function by regulating appetite and digestion to feel full faster and for longer, increasing your energy expenditure and maximizing nutrient absorption. These medications also work to regulate the body’s set point––the weight our bodies fight to maintain––and influence blood sugar response and insulin.
Yes. Medical experts agree, GLP-1s are the safest and most effective medication for sustained weight loss. Our doctors will never prescribe short-term stimulants (like phentermine), because Calibrate is designed to drive sustainable weight loss—not a quick fix.
GLP-1 side effects are extremely rare. For those who do experience them, nausea is the most common, and this typically resolves over the first few weeks of being on the medication. However, Calibrate works to minimize side effects through our titration protocol, in which we incrementally increase the dose when starting (or restarting, if there has been a gap) your GLP-1 medication. If you do experience any side effects, you’ll be able to reach out to your Medical Team directly for support, via the Medical Channel in the Calibrate app.
Medication is an important part of Calibrate’s Two-Year Metabolic Reset. GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications address biology in a way that helps lower your set point. Your Medical Team will work with you to adjust medication as needed, in order to find the right titration and tapering timeline.
This medication helps kickstart your weight loss and is most effective when combined with Calibrate’s specific habit changes to food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health that address the biology most critical for your weight and long-term metabolic health. With the support of your Calibrate coach, Medical Team, and Calibrate Community, Calibrate helps members stay on track and accountable. This combination of medication, coaching, curriculum, community, and tracking is what makes Calibrate special. The lifestyle tweaks you’ll make and the tools you’ll learn from Calibrate are the key to sustaining your success long-term.
Medication is an important part of Calibrate’s Two-Year Metabolic Reset. Our goal is to ensure you feel in control and have access to the information you need when it comes to taking your medications.
We’ve created a Medication Information page that provides dosing instructions and other helpful information for GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Rybelsus, Saxenda, Trulicity, and Wegovy. You’ll find videos that demonstrate how to administer your injectable medication, and specific guides with helpful information about how the medication works, how to take it, and what to expect:
- What to Expect with Ozempic
- What to Expect with Rybelsus
- What to Expect with Saxenda
- What to Expect with Trulicity
- What to Expect with Wegovy
If you need additional support regarding your medication, dosing, or side effects, please reach out to the Medical Team via the Medical Channel in the Calibrate app.
The length of time you stay on GLP-1 medications will depend on a clinical review of your results and medical appropriateness, but it is expected that members will taper off their medication before the end of the Two-Year Metabolic Reset. It’s important to note that medication is just one of the components in our fully integrated program that spans telemedicine, 1:1 accountability coaching, a structured curriculum, tracking, and community. Over the course of your Metabolic Reset, the combination of GLP-1 medication and the habit changes you will make across your food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health routines will fundamentally change your physiology to support you in sustaining your results for the long term. Your health and biology will determine how long you’ll take GLP-1s, and the Calibrate Medical Team will ultimately decide when and how you’re ready to transition off of the medication.
After your Calibrate Medical Team has sent your prescriptions to the pharmacy, here’s what to expect for your prescriptions and refills:
Home Delivery Pharmacies:
We work closely with your home delivery pharmacy to ensure that they will reach out to you directly for any information needed to process your prescription and refills. If you’re enrolled in auto-refill, the home delivery pharmacy will automatically mail your next prescription when your refills are due.
Local Pharmacies:
If you’re using a local pharmacy, please do not fill an order for a medication until you hear from us via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app to confirm that we are moving forward with that medication. The pharmacy may reach out if they need to connect with you for your next fill.
Please note: Members who use our home delivery pharmacies typically receive their medications sooner and are less likely to experience gaps in medications throughout their Calibrate Year. If you’re interested in transferring your prescription from your local pharmacy to a home delivery pharmacy, please send us a message via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app.
The Calibrate Medical Team sends all the prescriptions according to the recommended titration protocols when you start your program. Sometimes insurance does not always approve all the prescriptions at once and may require additional insurance approvals for refills, which our team will handle for you. If you ever have trouble receiving your next refill, please message us via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app.
Please let us know via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app. Make sure to send us the name and address of the pharmacy where you’d like your medications filled, and we’d be happy to transfer your prescriptions. If you’re interested in switching to a home delivery pharmacy, just mention “home delivery” in your message in the Support Channel.
Please note: Members who use our home delivery pharmacies typically receive their medications sooner and are less likely to experience gaps in medications throughout their Calibrate Year.
No. Since Calibrate physicians are not licensed to practice in other countries, and Calibrate does not operate internationally, we’re unable to prescribe to pharmacies located outside of the United States. To ensure success in the program, it’s critical that our Medical Team is able to manage refills and titration plans throughout the program, directly with your pharmacy.
No. Our systems only support electronic medication prescriptions, meaning we must be able to send them directly and electronically to your pharmacy, licensed in the United States, not to our individual Calibrate members. To ensure success in the program, it’s critical that our Medical Team is able to manage refills and titration plans throughout the program, directly with your pharmacy.
Please reach out to your Medical Team via the Medical Channel in the Calibrate app to discuss options for alternative GLP-1 medications. For questions about medication cost and coverage details, please reach out to your Support Team via the Support Channel in the app.
No. Our Medical Team will work with you to determine the most appropriate GLP-1 medication for you based on your personal medical history and your specific health insurance plan details.
It’s important to keep up with your GLP-1 medications even while traveling. We’ve put together this Travel, Medications, and More for Travel guide to help you plan ahead for how to travel with medications.
While refrigeration is important for extended storage, most GLP-1s are safe at room temperature (up to 86°F) for at least 2 weeks (see FAQs for medication-specific instructions). This means that provided you will use your medication within this timeframe, it’s perfectly fine to keep them at room temperature for the duration of the trip.
That said, you also don’t want to leave them in a hot car for hours on end. So if you’re headed somewhere very warm and where air conditioning may be spotty, you might want to take along a TSA-approved PackIt or a small Yeti cooler—just throw a Ziploc inside that you can pack with ice, and change out as you go.
Finally, if you’re flying, we suggest packing your medications in a carry-on rather than in checked baggage, in case your bags are lost or delayed. Jet lag makes many people forgetful, so you can also set a calendar alarm to remind you to take your dose. Don’t worry about getting a doctor’s note for the TSA—a note is not required to travel with GLP-1 medications. You should, however, declare your medications to the TSA officer in the security line. Making sure medications are labeled will help ensure the screening process goes smoothly.
For more tips on managing your program while traveling, check out the Four Pillars for Travel guide.
Thanks to your employer, your GLP-1 medication will come at no cost to you. Importantly, if your insurance plan has a deductible, it does not have to be met in order for your medication to be covered.
We’re sorry that you had this experience, but we’re confident that Calibrate can help. This is because we've ensured that GLP-1 medications will be covered by your insurance, and we can communicate with your insurance on your behalf—so you don’t have to.

To connect your Fitbit to the Calibrate app, please download Fitbit to Apple Health Sync from the App Store (for iOS users) or FitToFit from the Google Play store (for Android users). These apps will sync your Fitbit data to Apple Health or Google Fit, which will then sync to the Calibrate app.
If your Apple Watch is synced to Apple Health and you have allowed the Calibrate app to sync with Apple Health, your watch is automatically connected to the app. To sync the Calibrate app to Apple Health, follow these instructions.
Please let us know if you need any additional setup support by reaching out via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app.
Unfortunately, no. The Calibrate app does not currently sync with MyFitnessPal. Our food philosophy is built around tracking red foods and mindful eating, but tracking specific food intake beyond that is not a part of our program.
If MyFitnessPal is helpful for you, feel free to keep using the app outside of Calibrate. In the meantime, your Calibrate coach is happy to help with your questions about red foods and mindful eating.
Tracking is an important part of Calibrate because we believe that what you can measure, you can change. What you track becomes the data that your Medical Team uses to adjust your medication and the inputs that you and your coach use to personalize your goals.
As part of the Two-Year Metabolic Reset and Calibrate Masters programs, we ask you to track these metrics—available depending on where you are in your program—via the Home screen of the Calibrate app:
- Daily weight
- Energy
- Red foods
- Sleep
- Steps
- Mindful eating
With these trackers, you can see how habit changes can impact other aspects of your metabolic health. To learn more, check out our How and Why We Track Guide, which has more information about how your trackers can support your progress.
As a reminder, to support your daily weight, sleep, and steps tracking, you can link your Withings smart scale or wearable devices to the Calibrate app. Instructions for linking your scale are in our Getting Started with Calibrate Guide. Instructions for linking wearable devices can be found in your Setup Guide for iPhone and for Android.
Classes are released five days prior to each biweekly coaching session. We recommend reviewing the corresponding lesson before each coaching session to get the most out of Calibrate.
To view previous classes, head to the home screen in the Calibrate app, and either click into the “Class” or “Program” tabs on the top navigation bar.
The “Class” tab is where you can immediately find lessons for your current class. You can also scroll left via the top navigation bar to review previous classes. As a reminder, classes are released five days prior to each biweekly coaching session. We recommend reviewing the corresponding lesson before each coaching session to get the most out of Calibrate.
The “Program” tab is where you can see your progress in the program, across all four levels of your Two-Year Metabolic Reset. This is where you can access previous classes, too, by scrolling up to previous levels at the top of this section.
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing app issues. The Calibrate Team is committed to continuously improving your app experience with each new release, and sometimes we don’t get it right the first time. Our Support Team will gladly help you troubleshoot any app issues that come up.
The first thing you can do is check that your app is up to date. To update your Calibrate app on iPhone, please go to the App Store and tap “Update.” To update on Android, please go to Google Play and tap “Update.” If you see “Open,” that means the latest version is already installed on your phone.
You can also check the app version you’re currently using by logging into your Calibrate app, clicking into the “Profile” tab, and viewing “App Version” at the bottom of your profile. Confirm that this matches the latest versions on the App Store or Google Play.
If your app issues persist after updating, please message us via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app, and share any details or screenshots for context. We’ll be sure to further investigate any issues.
We appreciate you taking the time to share feedback. This will help our team refine features and make improvements in future app releases.

You can add general questions for your coach, share successes and challenges between sessions, or respond to prompts from your coach in the agenda.
Scale
We understand that bringing a scale on vacation may be a hassle. So, if your trip is less than a week, it’s okay to leave it at home. If you’re going for more than seven days, however, we do encourage you to travel with a scale or make sure you can access a scale while traveling to keep up your regular rhythms and stay accountable to your body.
When this is the case, you may want to consider investing in a travel scale, or calling ahead to your hotel or hosts to ask whether they have a scale available for your use. If you decide to go with one of these options, you would enter your weight into your app manually.
If you would prefer to bring your scale with you, just make sure you’re well aware of travel restrictions (for example, TSA limitations at the airport).
Your Withings scale from Calibrate, or another smart scale you may be using, is intended to automatically sync your weight to the Calibrate app. We recommend that you do not share your scale with anyone else, as their weight will get uploaded instead of yours or in addition to yours. If this happens, both you and your Calibrate Medical Team won’t be working with the accurate weight information.
Within your Calibrate app, click on your Weight tracker and select the past entry you’d like to edit. Remember to press save after making any changes! You can edit any Past Entries for 30 days.
At this time, your Withings scale will only connect with and automatically sync to the Calibrate App. The Calibrate Team is working to continuously improve the member experience, and we’ll let you know when other health app integrations become available.
No, you will not see your body mass index (BMI) from the Withings scale. Instead, the Calibrate Medical Team will calculate your BMI using the data entered at your Medical check-ins throughout your Two-Year Metabolic Reset. Your customized Withings smart scale will display your weight, a progress graph of your weight measurement (which automatically syncs with the Calibrate app), and your local weather.
If you need help with scale setup, please reference the Withings Body Pro Onboarding Guide that you received with your Withings scale. For additional support, please send a detailed message via the Support Channel in the Calibrate app and the Support Team will be in touch to help you troubleshoot.
Security
Your data and information are important, private, and protected. Your lab results and health data are uploaded to our secure healthcare platform, where they can only be viewed by you, the Calibrate Medical Team, Support Team, and your accountability coaching team—for matters directly related to your program.
We understand your concerns and can reassure you that we take data privacy very seriously. We always work to make sure all members’ information is protected.
Our Electronic Health Record systems are secure, HIPAA compliant, and protect member data. Both our Calibrate app and email systems are encrypted.
Our Privacy Policy on our website also outlines how we treat protected health information (PHI) in accordance with federal law and industry best practices.
We ask for a valid government ID with a photo to confirm your identity before treating you via telemedicine. Similar to a traditional medical setting, we verify member identity before we order labs and work with insurance companies.
Other
The Two-Year Metabolic Reset was selected as a benefit by Workday for members. The two-year program is structured to align with your needs and will address Calibrate’s Four Pillars of Metabolic Health—food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health—in order to ensure members lose at least 10% of their body weight over the course of the program. By continuing the program for two years, members will reinforce new, healthy habits that will allow them to sustain their weight loss.
The Results Guarantee does not apply to members because Workday is covering the cost of the program in full.
The cost of your GLP-1 medication depends on the medical plan you are enrolled in through Workday.
If you are enrolled in the Cigna Smart Plan with HSA (HDHP), your medication will be covered at 20% coinsurance, up to the $4,500 individual or $9,000 family in-network out-of-pocket maximum. You do not need to satisfy your deductible for coinsurance to apply. Your cost share will be approximately $200 - $300 per month, until you reach your in-network out-of-pocket maximum. Once you reach your in-network out-of-pocket maximum, the medication will be covered in full.
If you are enrolled in the Cigna Core Plan, your medication will be covered after a copay of $30 - $60 for a 30-day supply, up to the $3,000 individual or $6,000 family in-network out-of-pocket maximum. Once you reach your in-network out-of-pocket maximum, the medication will be covered in full.
Our goal is to help members lose at least 10% of their body weight, while reinforcing new, healthy habits across Calibrate’s Four Pillars of Metabolic Health—food, sleep, exercise, and emotional health—in order to ensure that weight loss is sustained. While the goal is at least 10% weight loss, members lose an average of 15% of their body weight in one year. Through a combination of FDA-approved medication and lifestyle changes with the help of an accountability coach, we’re confident that members will be able to achieve at least 10% sustained weight loss on the Two-Year Metabolic Reset.
